Salman is a postdoctoral researcher at Swansea University. He is committed to advancing cancer therapy by characterising the molecular differences between normal and malignant cells.

He was awarded his PhD from Swansea University Medical School for functionally characterising EFA6R, a novel Ovarian Cancer biomarker and tumour suppressor gene.

His particular areas of expertise include 1) the targeting and sensitising of ductal pancreatic cancer by utilising 3D spheroid and organoid models and 2)  the role of Arf6 – a small GTPase protein – in pancreatic cancer.
