About

Alex is an experienced stroke & neurological conditions occupational therapist and researcher, with a varied career combining both clinical and research roles. He was the first clinician in Wales to receive Stroke Association funding through a postgraduate fellowship to support his doctoral studies.

In addition to his clinical and research commitments, Alex has contributed extensively to professional leadership, through engaging in a number of Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT) projects such as the joint James Lind Alliance & RCOT Research priority setting partnership and through his role as the Research & Development Lead for the Stroke Clinical Forum of the RCOT Specialist Section Neurological Practice. Further to this, Alex was a contributor to the 2023 National Clinical Guidelines for Stroke.
