The biomodelling theme is focused on developing new technologies and techniques to improve healthcare outcomes. This includes the development of new medical devices, as well as the use of engineering principles to better understand the human body and its functions.
The biomodelling theme specialises in the development and application of computational tools to improve our understanding of human physiology, develop advanced diagnostic techniques, and optimize the design of medical devices. The research is conducted in a number of areas, including diagnostic sensors and computational modelling of physiological systems
The biomodelling theme is also part of a broader cross-faculty biomedical engineering theme designed to cover a wide remit of health-related engineering research.
