Visiting Research Student

Our current PGR Visiting Student application process is currently undergoing review and improvement to provide a better experience for applicants. We are aiming to re-launch this in September 2021, for student admittance in October 2021 for home and EU students, and from January 2022 for other international students as appropriate.

In the interim, applications are restricted to visiting research students aligned to partner Institutions/agreements. If you fall into this category of visiting research student, please feel free to contact our Admissions Manager (Research) to discuss your proposed visit further – Mr Robert Ward can be emailed at

Associate Researcher

Key Fact

  • The University welcomes enquiries from Associate Researchers who hold an external scholarship/funding to undertake a period of independent research. Whilst the University is keen to support Associate Researchers in their research, due to the aligned external regulations and intensity of competition for limited research places, no guarantee can be made.
