The University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign is a public research university in Illinois and the flagship institution of the University of Illinois System. The land-grant institution is located in the twin cities of Champaign and Urbana. The University operates a Research Park, home to over 90 start-up companies and multinational corporations. The campus has two main recreation facilities for students to enjoy, the Activities and Recreation Centre (ARC) and the Campus Recreation Centre – East (CRCE). This is a community event held every Saturday morning from May to November, dozens of vendors set up shop in the Lincoln Square parking lot in downtown Urbana.
