Salamanca is a town situated in western central Spain, and home to Universidad de Salamanca. It is part of the autonomous region of Castile and Leon, and is considered to be one of the safest cities in Spain. Salamanca holds plenty of festivals, and offers cultural and sports activities for students – if you’re a football fan, then you can go to watch the Salamanca football club at a local match!
Salamanca’s International Relations Office does not arrange accommodation for students, but students can either apply for a room in university residences or find private accommodation. Please note that teaching is in Spanish only, so you either need to be studying Spanish as part of your degree or have a minimum language level of B1 in order to study at Salamanca on exchange.
