The Faculty of Health Care Jesenice (FHCJ) is located in Slovenia, which lies in South Central Europe at the northern end of the Adriatic Sea. Bordered by Austria to the north, Italy to the west, Hungary to the northeast, and Croatia to the southeast, Slovenia is ideally located for exploring Europe and experiencing all of the unique cultures. It has a Mediterranean climate on the coast, continental climate with mild to hot summers, and cold winters in the hills and valleys to the east. The location of accommodation depends upon the location of your clinical placement as a Nursing student on exchange; your accommodation can be either in Jesenice or in Kranj. Jesenice assists exchange students in finding accommodation in student dormitories or finding private rooms, shared apartments, or other facilities where students can stay during their mobility period. Although the main language is Slovenian, you will find that most people will be able to speak excellent English. Lake Bled and its alpine resort is a must-see during your time on exchange!
