'Digital Humanities' is a broad term referring to the use of technology to enhance, support or conduct humanities or humanities-related scholarship.
At Swansea University, the Digital Humanities team is here to support academic and community-based humanities projects and research - contact us to find out what we can do for you and your research.
Research Data Support Services for Researchers
The Digital Humanities team is involved with multiple ongoing services, as well as contributing to various ad-hoc projects on request. Our core offering includes:
Open Journal Publishing
The team can work with you to support the publication of academic journals, in collaboration with other Library author support services. Using OJS, a journal publishing platform, we can assist with the setup and maintenance of open-access, peer-reviewed academic publications.
The team supports web projects using Omeka, a platform on which online archives, exhibitions and projects can be showcased. An example of an Omeka project managed by the DH team is the Centenary Essays project.
