This module develops students¿ experimental, analytical, and problem-solving skills across a range of physics topics. Students will engage with classical mechanics, optics, waves, thermodynamics, and electromagnetic phenomena through carefully designed laboratory experiments and skills workshops. Emphasis is placed on understanding and analysing experimental uncertainties, applying statistical and numerical methods, and effectively communicating scientific results. The module also fosters professional skills, including ethical conduct, teamwork, and critical reflection on learning and assessment. Students will gain experience in both individual and collaborative projects, preparing them for advanced laboratory work and quantitative analysis in physics.
