Highly prestigious EPSRC Advanced Research Fellowship awarded to Dr. Paul Williams

Dr Paul Williams of the Centre for Complex Fluids Processing has been awarded a highly prestigious EPSRC Advanced Research Fellowship. These awards are made in intense competition to outstanding young researchers. They enable the recipients to devote themselves entirely to research for a period of five years.

Paul’s research develops ab initio methods making full use of available sequence and structural data in the prediction of the process separation of biomolecules and biological nanoparticles of therapeutic importance. The main industrial beneficiaries of the research will be the UK and global pharmaceutical industries.

Paul’s is the third such award to the Centre. Dr Chris Wright currently holds such a Fellowship for the application of atomic force microscopy and Professor Rhodri Williams started his career with such a Fellowship for the study of advanced rheological techniques.
